Traditional Southern food with a modern flair. Reasonably-priced, well-executed dishes that do not attempt all-too-ambitious flavor profiles. Good service. Near the interstate on the quaint Forsyth city square, Grits is worth a slight detour off the beaten path.
This place was an awesome random find on our way back to Florida! The service was a bit on the slow side, but we weren't in a rush. Our food, however, was absolutely amazing! We got the fried cheese grits appetizer to share, my husband got Coca-Cola fried chicken salad and I had the spinach salad! The food was really fresh and amazingly tasty, the beer selection was great and we loved the decor of the place! I highly recommend this place!
We were traveling and wanted a place to sit down and have a good meal. The outside seating allowed us to include our furry daughter. The waitress brought her a big cold bowl of water! I had the meatloaf sandwich and it was amazing. It was so different than any I've ever had. It had a sweet smokey flavor and was just delish!
Loved this place. Nice on the outside but REALLY BEAUTIFUL on the inside. The food was delicious. Southen style food. I had a NY strip steak with fried green tomatoes and bacon mac and cheese. DELICIOUS! The cost was about $25 for my meal. They offer a (real) kids menu which I was not expecting because the meals, prices and atmosphere is fairly upscale. The kids meals were about $6.00. All of the staff were super friendly. The restaurant was very clean. All good things to say about the place. It is a hidden gem.
Super cool dining experience. Great service and atmosphere. Food was crazy good and priced fair. Excellent wines. Worth the 8 hour drive! Will eat there anytime we are close.
In short: good food, good value, good service--all within two miles of the off ramp. It's one of my local favorites--so don't miss out.
